Day 4 of nationals ended with much of a blast both ways. Congrats to Mchia for qualifying for 400m hurdles finals! And congrats to AH SEOW for the burning crazy imba 54.9 seconds for 400m! Really impressive :D
And ruiyong too for that 2k steeplechase bronze; that's one run most wouldn't make it through for. Single hero photo of the day! And also, congrats to weiwen for the 3k steeple gold! He totally owned the rest la towards the end!
Well then here comes the disappointment and sorrow from the failure. Last qualifier finished the round in 56.82 while I clocked about 57 from coach (57.40 on paper sigh) so I finished a miserable 29th, a little away from the top 24.
Sorrow was felt, disappointment hit me hard but oh well. It is what it is. No shaved head, no semi-finals, no more individual 400m to train for. What's left is the 4x400m relay so I will give my all for that. And hope with our strength we'll make it into the finals. To run one last time before this all closes.
This means so much to me; but do I mean just as much to it?
Within these 184 years of our fine history we're passing figures, at the most passing legacies, but in the very least just people who walk through, stay 4 years, and move on as part of its history. I want to be more than that, but aiyah sadly no.
4x400m. Make or break.
Well at least there's the swim finals to cheer me up tomorrow :D GO RAFFLES!
