I realized I haven't been writing lately; It's time I had something to say too. Well enjoy!
HARD WOODEN KNOCKS - jonlim
Book of life, a package received, Cover afresh, spine intact. Nothing better than new beginnings received; Far from any fair-weather act.
Flip the cover - faded contents No head nor tail rears its head; First chapter filled with good intent, But cliffs abound, nothing lies dead.
Turn of these pages brings a twist, I rightfully resist; Clasp of hands brings to mind, A reluctant doubt.
In these former exchanges There lies a pull, Forcefully wrought, Painlessly sought. Dog-eared pulp with scribbled writing, Tells me of what I want to do, But can't pursue.
Enchanted story, take me From these clouds and dictate me; Mind not the doubt but Mind the fade.
For the clock might spare us, When we plan to run late.
